We went to the "log cabin" today, its been years since i been there but they have all of your traditional muzzleloaders, moutain man and native american era relics.

They said suppliers of muzzleloading caps will no longer be made due to current events, has anyone heard the same? Told my dad he better start shooting flintlocks, always stone in stock.

And with what each of you have seen over covid , what ammo did you find the most of if any? lol. Towards a different topic, Is the 223/556 still going to be produced?

You can get percussion caps on gun broker. You wont like the price.

you can make your own. people are saying it works pretty good

Yes, caps are pretty much un-obtanium right now. CCI has said that MAYBE 2024-5 we will start seeing cap production again.

I would definitely investigate making your own if you need them.

And flints are getting scarce also. Fewer people making them.

Multiple tens of millions of 223/556 rifles out there. besides a massive international market, so yeah, it will be produced. The question really is what will be available to the general public. I know the anti-gunners orgasmic self high is that all the "bad" guns are going to come out of private hands and/or that ammo for them won't be available to the average schmoe. Of course that is their fantasy. The whole situation (turning in "black" rifles or cutting off their ammo supply) will end up in the federal court system before that ever happens on a national scale. The third form of federal government is the last pressure control valve of our society. Otherwise, its Katy-bar-the-door because millions of American aren't going to go the Australian way. Sorry, anti-gunners, it just isn't going to happen so they better learn how to fight if they want their gun free utopia...

410 on Gunbroker around $35.00 a box last time I checked. Have to watch the Remingtons some are packed in 20 round boxes. 410 has always been a little pricey.

Shelves full of .223/5.56 ammo here. More .223, 9mm, 45, .308 than I have ever seen. It is like ammo companies putting most of their efforts into those popular calibers. Some hunting rounds can be hard to find. I shoot a lot of 6.5 grendel and .300 blackout pig hunting. Good hunting rounds still hard to find.
