I received this email today, and I thought I'd throw it out there in case someone may be interested. Hello, I'm a casting associate at JS Casting working for the show Mountain Men on History Channel. We are in search of new characters to feature on the show, and we'd love to add someone near your location. What we look for on Mountain Men are people who have lives and livelihoods rooted in the outdoors. People who lead rustic, solitary lives, far removed from civilization. People who hunt, fish, grow, and gather their own food and resources. Homesteaders and people who live off-the-grid. People who are self-employed as trappers, hunters, tanners, loggers, guides, and bush plane pilots are great, but really anyone living off the land is a good candidate. We try to stay away from people who live in town full-time, and are just weekend warriors. We want folks who are full-time outdoorsmen. Although the name of the show is Mountain Men, we are totally interested in women as well if they fit the description above. If anyone comes to mind, or if you have any questions about what we're looking for please contact me. Feel free to pass this message along to anyone else who might know a potential Mountain Man or Mountain Woman. Thanks! McKenzie

Never watched the show but if Savell was on I'd find a way to watch it. Definitely He'd have to promise to keep all his cloths on and no squealing like a pig though

Definitely a mountain man. I've been through his town one time, and I think most of the residents are more real than anyone on that show.

Trapper Les is the only person on Trapperman I can think of that comes close to being a candidate for the show.

They need to give up on the Mountain Man theme and go with a Trapperman theme. Just think of all of the characters who spend time on this site. Good, Bad and Ugly. Must See TV!!!

... y’all be careful out there .. liable to end up unconscious on a casting couch with Harvey Weinstein or something .. err on the side of caution is all I’m sayin ... good luck and stay pure as driven snow boys
Insert profound nonsense here

Why don't the folks just go do what they tune in to watch is my question.

Definitely a mountain man. I've been through his town one time, and I think most of the residents are more real than anyone on that show. If six more resident move out of Williams then he would fit in the criteria of remote and not town. Hopefully the Bureau of Stastistics does not go and do a head count and pick up someone has named their 2 dogs and hamsters.

I’d rather watch Les …than that guy named Useless in North Carolina.
