The Norlund Hudson Bay axes are very nice quality. I have their Camp Axe and Voyager. I would like to collect all of their models.

I have the hatchet, the mid-size axe and the full size axe made by Snow and Neally. Very good axes in my opinion.

Great all around axe for trapping and general bush work. This style axe is also commonly used by timber cruisers and logging engineers.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

I got the larger Snow and Neally axe. Love it . I thought that the price was right also. Use it on the trapline and to split kindling at camp.

I just bought the Snow & Nealy camping axe; 1 3/4#, 24" handle, feels good in the hand and easy to carry on those long jounts deep into the backwoods.

Probably the ideal size and shape for a trapline or backpacking/bushcraft axe. However, learn how to hang a handle good and tight. Especially if you try to use a Hudson where a feller style is better used.
The Hudson style has tendency to loosen if used with alot of prying and pulling due to the smaller surface area at the eye.

I have one of those axes on my wall that was signed by both Bob Noonan and Mike Wilhite.- And it has a revered spot on the antlers of a 6x6 bull I shot years ago.

Mike sent me two (2) of the axes for auction items at Coyote Days this year also!

American made

Balanced

High Quality & Useful

I can't say enough good about them!

John
