Do you use the tow/ haul mode when your pulling something. Buddy of mine works for chevy he said don't use it ever. It puts all the strain on the motor and transmission when you hit the brakes going over a hill or stopping on flat ground. He said brake pads are cheaper than any part of the drive train. But I guess it depends if the trailer you are pulling has brakes. My boat does. He say transmission won't shift until it needs to taking off and stopping is when the damage is done using tow/haul mode.....

I went to work today as usual. When i came.home.i put it in reverse to back in the driveway and nothing
.put it back in drive.. nothing. Drifted into the driveway and into the biggest mud puddle in the county
And there she sets.

Only good thing is jerry did buy the extended warranty but who knows how long it'll take to get fixed.
We gotta find out tomorrow.

That's why I only get manual transmission, I will have to buy a used Cummings since no one has a manual transmission in their new trucks now

I'm with you, automatics are in inferior transmission.

My daily driver has 170,000 miles on it original trans and clutch still.

There are things that can be done with a manual that can't be done with an auto, like rocking it on very slipper surfaces, kick starting for a bad starter or battery and you'll get better gas mileage too.
