Have a 9:30 appointment today always look forward to the adjustments for relief of neck stiffness and lower back pain from past injuries over the years. I never left a office not feeling better. A couple weeks ago my neck had gotten so tight it was impacting my daily life a few trips to get the Jason Borne neck treatment and it has come a long way.

In the past popping my neck or back brought almost instant relief, now it feels better but it takes a few more seconds to get to that point after any adjustments because of the arthritis build up. My neck was stiff and gritty when I moved it around but much of that is gone now.

I must admit I had concerns about being adjusted as stiff as I was and with the amount of injuries I’ve had over the years thinking things might go wrong but that’s to be expected. The first adjustments to my neck were very effective and I did not realize I had that many vertebrae that could be adjusted. My range of motion has greatly increased over the last few weeks in impressed with the outcome my lower back has improved also.

They had me doing MRIs and neck artery scans that found/did nothing for me when I experienced vertigo but the neck treatments took care of that and are not expensive like doctor or hospital visits are today.

If you are uncomfortable or living in pain you might want to consider seeing a chiropractor for some relief from pain and stiffness.

Chiros are like any other profession. Some good, some bad. The first two I tried were bad and hurt more than they helped. Years later I tried again and found a good one for my issues. I have had him for 5 years and he really helps.

Never had a bad one yet thank God, if they pull the quackery stuff I’m out of there like the drop table that does nothing for me but makes some noise.

Here's a quote I made on a post last month about sciatica pain:

The pain started slow. It was centered on my hip joint and radiated down my leg to my knee. Within two hours it was getting worse I was having difficulty walking. I left work early. The next day it was much worse. I couldn't walk without severe pain for the next several days. Four days later, on Saturday I went to I went to a local Urgent Care. They prescribed Prednisone and Naproxin. As White17 said, the Prednisone works but only masks the pain. I figured I was cured, did a days work and ended up unable to walk again due to overdoing it.

Two days later I went to the ER. They took hip X-rays (all good, nothing broke), prescribed Methocarbmol and advised me to see an orthopedist. I saw him a week later. He took back x-rays and prescribed methylprednisolone.

Each of those three doctors spent less than three minutes with me. Each simply wrote a script and got me out of there ASAP.

My daughter and son-in-law talked me into going to their chiropractor. I called and they booked me for the following day. I called the ortho's office and requested my x-rays which they gave me on a DVD. The chiro sat down with me and actually talked to me for ten-twelve minutes. We examined my x-rays and he explained a lot of stuff then came up with a treatment plan.

He did an adjustment, the some electro massage and finally I spent twenty minutes on an automated massage table.

That night was my first pain-free night since the injury more than two weeks prior.

I went back to work last week, loaded forty fifty pound bags of concrete mix, poured a small conc. pad and began dry laying the cast concrete boulders for a water feature by a pool.

My leg still gets pretty sore. I have another session with the chiro this week and an appointment with a physical therapist. We'll see how it goes with the PT guy or girl.

Update: I canceled the PT after one session, it was stupid. I saw my chiro two more times and we both agreed no more sessions were necessary . I am completely pain-free thanks 100% the chiro, I love that guy. The doctors, specialists and PT guy were all pretty useless in comparison.

Eh...wot?

I have something thelat gets out of a line between my left shoulder blade and spine. It causes pain and gets so I can't move my neck. Doctors orders thousands of dollars worth of scans and repeat appointments. No results. One trip to my wife's chiropractor and she rolled me on my side putnher fist under my shoulder crossed my arms used her body to apply pressure. I felt a pop and the pain.was instantly gone. Now the muscles were sore for about 3 days still but the constant nagging pain was gone. It pops out every few years most times I can have my wife help.me get it back in place. I seldom have the time to make an appointment .

I hurt my back about 20 years ago while packing up our gear to return from a 10 day tent archery/ camping trip . As I lifted the tent to put it in the back of my truck .I had a sharp pan in my lower back .I dropped to the ground and could not get up . After about 5 minutes I was able to stand but had trouble walking .The other guys finished loading .I took 2 over the counter pain pills .We got in our trucks and headed for home Four hours late r I pulled into my driveway . I was bent over and could barely walk .Two days late with almost no improvement I went to a doctor He prescribed pain pills and sent me out the door The pills numbed the pain and made me sleepy .AS a few days past it was a little better but I I was still hurting and moving very slow .A brother in law recommended a chiro that he went to on a regular basis I made an appointment Some relief was at least a start .I needed to go back several times but he got it back to normal .Prior to that I thought of chiro like the old west medicine man .But it helped me and I was not taking pain meds that where not helping to problem

I go when needed my neck and shoulder get super tight and it sure makes it feel better. The guy i go to thinks he's a comedian at times. The last time i went he checked everything then cracked my neck. Looked down at me and said " i saw that on utube" lol

My daughter is finishing up school now to become a chiropractor

A chiropractor can help or make it worse. It all depends on what's wrong with you. I used to do the traditional manual manipulation many years ago until it started to cause more pain in my back. Now I only do the activator... The activator helps me.... Check it out.

I go about once a year for back and neck adjustment- it helps with mobility for sure. If you ever get the chance to try Active Release that works wonders, it's the same thing that goes on in the Blue Tent during NFL games- the people I used to work with that had occupational injuries swore by it.

Providence Farm, sounds like a rib popped out, I get the same as you described. When it pops, I get a knot under right shoulder blade. Been going to a chiro for years. I do a ton of bat work, and constantly looking up or twisting my head to look under eaves etc, I get all knotted up. Chiros are amazing. May be a little sore after first visit, but by second or third everything is aligned as needed.

I do the chiro and acupuncture. The two work well together. Two construction falls. Broken vertebrae, rib, broken elbow, 4 broken toes. High school football and wrestling, the body definitely needs a tune up every month. If the pain does not go away from chiro give acupuncture a shot.

I have 2 within a 10 mile drive both are good, the female one I like the best she’s a neighbor not so far away. She gets it done she explains what’s going on and is pleasant to talk to, the other place is more production line and about getting paid mostly less personable it ways.

Good deal. I did that for about 30 years but my Chiropractor misdiagnosed my numb feet and kept on a cracking until I was in bad shape. I have neuropathy. He can't fix that. I ended up getting two rounds of shots in the spine a year ago and then got some excursuses from the med doc and I have never felt better. I do the exercise almost every morning and don't have back issues any more. They even gave me one exercise to do when my back is jammed up and it is instant relief. My Chiropractor is a good guy. I just don't need it anymore and can fix it myself now.
About a year ago I worked hay for 5 days straight then got off the tractor and couldn't get back on. I laid in my hay field for 45 minutes before I could get back on the tractor. It was excruciating. I limped into the clinic for the 2nd round of shots a couple days later and immediately when the doc giving me the shot started to put it into my back all the pain stopped and I walked out of there upright like I was 40 again. He said he doubted he would see me in again and so far that's been true. Now I feel like I am getting stronger each day. I have made hay twice this year so far.

Just passin through

Used to go regularly. With mixed results. Learned to stretch my hamstrings properly and bought a tens unit. Haven’t been back. Tens unit for twenty thirty minutes and stretch out. Puts everything back where it belongs. I’m a side sleeper so I sleep with a pillow between my knees.

Get a massage and then get an adjustment. Ive been going to them since high school and my current one every 6-8 weeks or so. He always asked whats needing done and i just tell him do the routine and im golden. I was told i needed back surgery in high school and i declined. This seems a lot better. MD’s know two things: surgery and pain pills. One makes them rich and the other started a fentanyl epidemic. And they hate chiropracors.

A husband and wife chiro team joined our church 30 years ago and became active. I had a back issue and visited him. Was seen maybe six times. A year later I went for something else. The treatment was exactly the same and not specific to my problem. Made me wonder.
