I remember trap placers like that from when I started trapping in the 70s, never had a use for one as it was just as easy to use my hands and saved me money for more traps

I have the same exact one with no wording on it. Got it from an old timers sell-out along with his traps....Im going with trap placer.

I figured it was either a trap placer or a tool used by a blacksmith. For 5 bucks I couldn't go wrong either way, it will be a wall hanger. Thanks everyone for your input.

Mine is Metric! But that pic looks like a stand up edger/trimmer, so you don't have to crawl around on your knees.
