I never cared for him personally. I'm ok without him. Some people believe that even though you don't care for a person, you can still glean knowledge from them. Me, I'm good with gaining knowledge by myself or people I respect.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Me, I'm good with gaining knowledge by myself or people I respect. Just curious, have you met him, or is it just your opinion of his online presence that you don't like? I think Wolfdog hit it on the head when he called him a modern day O'gorman.... they have similar marketing styles, and that turns a lot of people off. But if obviously must also turn a lot of people on, too. I've met Clint a couple times and he seemed down to earth and was very nice in person. I have no problem with him.

Never met him Angela, just the online presence turned me off. I figure a online or in person is the same. I've watched Newt, Miranda, and others and never thought I'd shun them from my campfire, I would Clint. To each their own I reckon!

I've met Clint a few times and talked with him, seen a few of his Demo's. Very knowledgeable guy, and does not hold back. I like and have learned stuff that works. I still like a article I read , that Clint wrote. On baiting set's. Put some meat on the table. Makes perfect sense, who eats a 2 OZ. T-Bone Right
Let me sugar coat this

Clint is a good guy and a great trapper. I don't understand why folks have issues with him. Heck, folks have issues with me and I'm sweeter than sugar - . Shoot Paul, the fact you keep this site up and running is proof enough that you're a top notch guy. I for one would still be struggling to catch bobkitties without the knowledge freely given here! Thank you for that!

Sometimes certain people rub others the wrong way. He comes across to me as a arrogant condescending butthead and what's my opinion worth, beans! But it's my opinion and how I choose to live. You like the ole boy and I don't, no harm no foul. The whole sweeter than sugar thing may be up for debate as well.

I don't know why something that should bother you, unless you were sensitive to your self-perceived shortcomings whether they be real or not. As for sugar, maybe semi-sweet chocolate would be a better comparison - .

That's funny Paul. No, he does not threaten my confidence and I am not sensitive to as you say my shortcomings. I just plain out right don't like the way Clint comes across. I like Newt, Miranda, Bill Dance and others. Clint, no. The semi sweet chocolate, I'll buy lol.

His beaver and coyote books are good in my opinion. Yep. I believe he took lessons from O’Gorman

His beaver and coyote books are good in my opinion. Yep. I believe he took lessons from O’Gorman O'Gorman, Johnny Thorpe, Red O'Hern few others . Gotta say he had a really really interesting podcast where he went over what he learned for various peoel in the industry what what he learn from them and what he said about Johnny Thorpe kinda blew my mind.

Clint is like all those who have a passion and who follow that passion. He and I have known each other a long time and I consider him a trapping friend who is incredibly talented and creative. He's a straight shooter for sure but he's getting softer around the edges with age. Like most of us. Blessings, Mark
