I need three 30 gallon food grade plastic barrels for my winemaking. Been looking around for used food grade barrels in my area, but can't find any. Any ideas on what businesses may use them or where I can find some that ship at a reasonable cost?

I've bought them from petri cookies in the past. Also Dunkirk ice cream. Almost any large food making plant will have various sizes. Even the processing plants for tomatoes,beets,beans etc.. have to add food grade additives that occasionally come in barrels instead of tankers

when wine making you probably don't want them to have had vinegar or something else that may distort your flavor.

when my brother got into beer making and did his first beer judging the judge tasted his beer said it's good but you used a green garden hose to fill your tank , I can taste the vinyl.

he got a proper food grade hose and went on to score quite well and later took the test to judge competitions himself.

most of the barrels I get to transport water or store water are old chlorine or dairy line cleaning solution. not sure if those would distort flavor or not
