I wish I could make it.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Mole....as far as I know they don't have a muskrat skinning contest at the MD convention....if your interested, unless you already know about this, the National Outdoor Show which is held in February in Church Creek, MD (Dorchester County) has a muskrat skinning contest as well as coon skinning...the show is alot of fun....here's a link: https://nationaloutdoorshow.org/ Unfortunately, the show has not been held the last two years due to Covid...however, it is being planned for Februarty 2023.

Definitely thinking about it. Have heard from several the crab fest is worth the trip. Would have to get someone to show me how to eat a whole crab. Only had crab legs a couple times

The wife and I went yesterday late afternoon.
My first convention. First impression, it was empty, in talking to a few people Saturday is the big day. I知 too busy today to go back so next year will definitely go on Saturday. Met a couple nice people. Bought some coyote bait, lure, and a stack of magazines from a vendor that lives in Jefferson, Md. turned out he and I knew several people from my home town. Entered every raffle. Picked up a flyer for next years Pa convention in Shippensburg. About 2 hours from me so I will definitely plan on attending that.

You will like the PA convention next year.

I liked this year at md. Might have been good it was small Friday afternoon. Gave time and room to look at everything and talk a little.
I知 learning quick these are my kind of people. Need to find a mentor in Potter county this November or sooner that would be willing to walk my property with me and give some advice. Not many people trap any more and I知 the age I should be teaching, instead I知 barely getting started.

Great event as always. I didn't make it up Friday evening this year, but rode along on the trapline with Ron and crew early Saturday morning.
Seemed like a light crowd, but understandable with low fur prices and high fuel prices.
Saw some old friends and made some new. I really learned a lot from Charlie who came down from PA to give us a demo on Fisher trapping. That alone was worth attending!
My boys had a lot of fun with the trap setting competition, and enjoyed a great chicken BBQ lunch.
I hope to see everyone again next year. Thanks Roger and everyone involved for putting on a great convention!
