Does the cabin have good wind expo, no trees, etc. Hills or other land forms to diminish wind? How about nasty wind storms that will cause over speeds? Do you have freezing rain that will stick to the blades and cause an out of balance situation? Lots of potential problems with wind!

There popular here on large ice houses, a friend has one on his cabin and it seems to keep the battery’s charged and the lights on when he is using it, he doesn’t have much that runs on electric just the lights and a small tv

He is not in a good area really being in the Minnesota north woods and surrounded by trees but it works for him

Ive got one of those small imported ones, and it works great, keeps the batteries up nicely.

I believe they have cut-offs for when the wind gets too strong to compensate for "over speeds"

I looked into getting a vertical model when I lived at the Coast.
