Kind of goes with the beard wax thread hopefully without the non kid friendly topic attempt at being funny?

So anyone ever try sporting a handlebar?

Mine got long enough to try it. I also have 7 months of growth on my beard. Honestly I think it looked ridiculous but I sure get some looks . It's kind of fun to see peoples reactions.

I've wanted to grow my whole stash long, and braid it, but just can't take how much it gets in the way so I trim it. Maybe someday when I don't eat so much, lol!

Putting some wax on it helps keep it out of the way while it's growing out.

Thanks, I'll try that!

It helps train it to lay how you want as well.

Yep. About 10 years now. Mustache from the time I could grow one. Wife's never seen me without a mustache.

Never a waxed handlebar.
Can look good on the right guy.
I leave that to Yosemite Sam.

Same mustache for 44 years.
Before I retired it was a tidy mustache. Sort of like Tom Selleck’s mustache.
Since I retired no more tidy mustache. It gets big and bushy. Wife actually said she likes my bad axe mustache - it should be big and bushy. That has been the only compliment from her in more than 20 years. Still puzzled about that?

I don't have good facial hair, but I don't really care what anyone thinks any more. My wife on the other hand.....
Both were short lived.

I quit shaving when trapping starts. Fleas gotta have a place to land! lol Shave it off when it gets warm enough after season. Kept a beard one year, and it never grew very long, as any sticking out around my welding hood got burned off! I usually think hard about shaving it off in the spring, when I wake up in the morning with it in my mouth. That's about the time it has to go!

Couple times, just not my look really. Once in a while if I want to look nice I’ll comb and straighten the beard but other than that it’s pretty much caveman style for me. My wife thinks I need to trim but yesterday I set some gopher traps on a friends lawn, that makes it trapping season, and I have strict rules about no haircuts or beard trims till fur is sold in spring.

Plus, when I hold my 3 month old son on my lap it makes a nice wig for him lol
