I just got back from voting for our state primary. Last time wife and I voted we went to nearby public elementary school. I kinda consider that pretty neutral ground. This time we had to go to the nearby Living World Church.. I would think that be considered kind of intimidating to some people? I know one of the pastor there and alot of them people packing on Sunday. Including the pastor he packing all time. Not that people packing bothers me but might bother some folks. Me any time I enter a church. I worry more about bursting into flames catching full blazing fire. But seriously shouldn't a polling place be in neutral location. Oh yeah too..the old lady working there. She wouldn't give me two ballots either and I even winked the code at her.. Old Nage.. Mac

Have voted in the local Catholic churches hall for years now. I don't think anyone is intimidated or put off by it. On that day it's just another polling place. No religious pictures or icons to be seen.

Churches, schools, community centers, about any old place with a room and parking lot big enough to handle the traffic. For the longest time, my parents voted in an old one room school house. When that fell in, they moved up the road to an Allis Chalmers dealership lobby.
What I find both amusing and troubling........we were instructed to be careful about electioneering at or near a polling place. Up to and including could not even wear a T-shirt for my candidate or issue. No pins, no nothing. Keep it clean.
But.........once same bunch send ballots out in the mail, I can go knock on doors, and ask if they have filled theirs out yet and if not, offer to help them fill it out. Better yet, just sign the envelope and I'll take it all with me to fill out later. That is how you get thousands of ballots to drop into illegal drop boxes. Imagine the opportunity when a state sends a live ballot in the mail to every registered voter they have, real or otherwise. A huge float of live ballots in the public domain just ripe for the picking.
Vote by mail has to be the biggest election fraud mechanism ever concocted.

I wouldn't be worried about voting in a church. A building is a building, if they want to have it in a barn I could care less. Better then standing outside in the rain or humidity.

We vote in a church now. My previous polling place was a union hall; now that I consider intimidating, considering they don't take the union propaganda down for voting, and the hall bar is open.

A polling place is neutral ground. I vote at a public school. On election day, it is a polling place-not a school. Therefore concealed carry is allowed. That, according to a lawyer I know....at least in the - parking lot
- entrance
- hallway
- actual polling area.
