All phases of trapping activity are quite enjoyable, other than checking sets in adverse weather conitions, but the most enjoyable for me has been working in the fur shed putting up fur. As putting up fur is the ultimite culmination of a successful venture. Whats your experience?
The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

I love trapping cats in cages. The ultimate in "catch and release".
I have nothing clever to put here.

Love every aspect of dirt trapping foxes. From picking a set location to building the set to checking in the mornings.

Definitely checking sets. I put up my fur, but I don't care for it at all.

I pretty much enjoy each and every species; the scouting, the setting, the checking, and the put-up. Favorite though, I'd have to say, is deep winter, running a high-country marten line on snowshoes. There's just somethin' magical about it.

Fresh wolf tracks on the trail going in the same direction. Anticipation is unbelievable. Coming upon one caught and the pack talking when you drive up on your snow machine. Unforgettable!
I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

I think setting up and checking a new line is probably my favorite activity. Especially if I am sure there will be a few cats.

Trying something new (even at my age) and catching something the first check...
