After rinsing the silk off, we freeze whole ears of corn in ziplock freezer bags. To cook the corn, we boil water, turn of the heat, put the ears of corn and let it sit for 6 minutes.

10 cups of cutoff corn, stick of butter, 2 cups water, 1/4-1/2 cup sugar depending on how sweet your corn already is and 2 tbsp. Salt. Bring to boil and low boil for 5 min. Remove from heat and put the pan in an ice bath to cool quickly. Can't really beat it imo...

Bushel of corn will get you about 20 nice quart bags(I put 2 cups in each bag).

Blanch corn, then cut corn off the cob and freezer in vacuum bags.

I found some cheap stuff today but just found out why. It’s not the best…not sweet at all. Will your method bring less than perfect corn up to grade?

I tried freezing it on the cob in the husk and the corn tasted like cob. I cut it off the cob now.

Here's a neat little trick my wife and I do. As stated above; shuck the con, blanch for 7 minutes, cool it in the sink. Then take an angel food cake pan. The one with the hollow cone going up in the middle, set the cooled corn cob on the cone and with an electric knife cut the corn off the cob. When the pan is full put a a couple cups full of corn in freezer bags, squeeze out the excess air, lay flat on a cookie sheet and freeze. We just finished 100 bags this afternoon.

It is necessary to blanch the corn to set the milk and sugar.

Pretty much exactly how we do it. A few weeks ago my wife's side , we did 325 quart freezer bags. Best tasting bar none.

Blanche it, cut it off cob and into ziplocks is my way. I pour big pot of boiling water into cooler of corn and let it sit sealed up for 20-30 min. Get you one of these to make it easy.

You can do many quarts in no time!

I cook it first so it is not nearly as messy and you save a lot of the sugar and juice. Then cut, bag and freeze. just put it in the microwave until thawed and hot and eat. Some of you do much more thn I do, but I cook mine in my turkey fryer and do 3-4 dozen ears at a time about 3-4 times in a season. The rest we eat or give away.

Never had luck with freezing corn on the cob. We always blanch it, cut it off, bag it and freeze. Of course, not all sweet corn is created equally so its best to try several varieties before selection. Mom always cut the corn of, then scraped the cob with the back of the knife to get all the milk off of the cob. Tremendous amount of flavor in that milk. It's a great feeling to have dozens of those bags in the freezer come winter!

This.
But I use ziplocks, immersing in water ALMOST to the seal so most air is forced out before completing seal.
