So I have about 350 9mm brass "hulls".

most people let that hit the ground and never think to pick it up so I don't buy it

and 350 isn't a huge number right about 3 pounds worth 113 pieces to the pound

cleaned and shipped it is going for $44 the thousand pieces or 8.8 pounds worth

I say for 9mm nothing really. Now .38, .40 and .45 are worth something. Most folks that reload have a regular place to shoot. Regular places to shoot (ranges) have a carpet of 9mm laying around.
I'm a member of a private range, you can literally sit in one spot on the ground and fill up a coffee can of 9mm without moving. Some are tarnished, just run them through the tumbler and they are ready to size.

I go to a few indoor shoots in the winter we have to clean up the floor when done any way and very few people reload 9mm so I bring a bag and in a couple winter shoots can get enough to shoot the rest of the year outdoors and not worry about picking it all up.

indoor brass doesn't even need to be tumbled
