Along with happy posts…my granddaughter who just turned 1 in July “competed” in her first pageant yesterday out of 7 girls in the Teeny Miss Peanut Pageant. She got Best Dress and 2nd runner up. I was really proud of her just for the fact she behaved on stage.

My mother-in-law lives across the road from us, she turned 95 this weekend. To a youth church group stopped by and serenaded her with old hymns, they sang for about a half an hour. I must say, I enjoyed it very much.

She'll be able to skin 50% faster!

I love the ice cream on her face and she just doesn't care. I would eat it that way too if I could, but I'm supposed to be a responsible adult!

The home school co-op we are involved with just went from 30 kids to 90. Going to be some growing pains I think. But what amazing growth I'm afraid it may be a bit to much to fast but we will see.

I may be building up a better tolerance to bee stings. Caught one above my left eye brow and was expecting to have my eye nearly swelling closed by church tonight but it only swelled just a little. Hand and arm stings swell just a little if any any more and are minor irritations.

Just a few years ago face stings mage me look like chunk off goonies and my fingers would sweel almost 1.5 to 2x there size.

I got a late swarm moved it to a 5 frame nuke with 5 Fram shallow and put it back in the tree due to time. I took it down Toni so I can move it to an out yard tomorrow to reorient and it was exp
Very heavy. In planing on over wintering a few in 5 frame nukes for the first time this year and one is looking promising.

Our youngest daughter Katie is headed to see mom and I as soon as her traveling nurse contract expires end of this week in Dover, DE. She is my Katie-Boo.
She has recently begun studying Scripture in a big way, has been texting me with all sorts of questions about the things that REALLY matter in this life, and it's refreshing to see the next generation seeking joy, which is what this thread is sorta asking.

Katie works in the ICU setting and has seen so much death and suffering the past several years in the Covid units that she's worked in,
that in all this, she "knows" there must be a reason for it.
There just has to be she says.

She and I will no doubt have some heartfelt father-daugther conversations about the things that really matter in life, when she visits mom and I next week!
We'll talk about true joy which remains and sustains while so many are seeking the happy which is short-lived and needs chasing.
I suspect I'll once again learn from our next generation which I very much look forward to!

250 miles north of the border one of my fishing client put a 50 1/2” pike in the boat yesterday. Actually missed one heavier just before that. Wind, storms, calm, repeat all day. Gotta love life.
