Would you have this stapled, stitched or let it heal? Smart bunny took the beagles into something sharp the other dog has a good slash across its leg that looks like it was cut with a razor blade.... I got them both cleaned out really good. [Linked Image]

I thought about that. Kinda deep and it's draining pretty good

I’d have it at the vet if it’s anything more than a yard dog.

I agree with stitches and antibiotics. I'd rinse it out well with sterile water or saline if you have it, chemicals like Hydrogen Peroxide or Rubbing Alcohol can kill cells in the wound. Our vet sold us sutures, Lydocane(numbing agent) and broad spectrum antibiotics (Amoxycillin) so we could do it ourselves when we had a yard full of sled dogs.

Take it to a Vet.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Hard to tell from the pics. Looks like something I would Blu-Kote and treat with antibiotics. But, it might be deeper than it looks from the pic so I'd hate to be the one to say.

Once it starts to dry out you can't suture.

So what was the outcome with this dog wound.
