There are a few basic things, not that it changes the overall picture. The amnesty is supposed to be no charge if it does go through for the SBR registration. Its no different than normal NFA stuff, EXCEPT the picture, which I personally dont recommend doing.

The ATF only has "essentially" a registration of the owner who first purchased the gun, but its more like a network that they can request "hey what records do you have for x serial number". The guys doing the electronic record keeping is a very big mistake in my opinion, we should all keep doing paper records. It doesnt matter if you never connect it to the internet its not secure.

I think that the FBI and the ATF are self explanatory. As far as the EPA goes, I work with municipal water and wastewater. The EPA has revised the Lead and Copper Rule. We now have to inventory the water lines that we have and verify and record the material they are made from. Sounds ok on the surface, everyone wants safe drinking water, and the people that work with it want it to be safe. However, I was informed yesterday that the water line inventory isn't just for city owned lines, but also the plumbing inside every home and business we provide water to. The idea of asking people what their water lines are made from has me very angry.
