That looks like beer batter for the coating. IMHO it's the best if thin so it doesn't mess with the flavor of the fish. Just enough to fry it and hold it together.

Nope, just Drakes and Kentucky Kernel seasoned flour in a 50/50 mix dry breaded, no wet batter. Makes a very thin covering unlike a greasy batter coat.

I love walleye! I grew up hitting the crappie ponds every spring and down here on the 3rd coast, I eat a lot of flounder but I think walleye is as good as any of them.
