Looking to buy 1000 more rounds of 9 mm bullets for loading. Are the Berrys coated bullets as good as others for the price.

I shoot quite a few in my revolvers and 1911. They do everything I ask of them. My 9 has the polygonal rifling and not recommend to shoot non-jacketed bullets. So I can’t specifically address your question, but I do like them in in 38 special, 44 special, and 45 acp.

I shot alot of Berry's bullets in several different calibers and they work fine. I used them for plinking and practice, not for defensive rounds for carry.

I’ve shot a lot of the Berrys bullets in 40/10mm and some 41 as well for plinking. No issues here

Thanks for the replies. I have never used them and I found a decent price on them.

They load and shoot fine. My bullet feeder doesn't love them but I have a difficult relationship with the Hornady bullet feeder (that I need to replace at some point--because I have always hated it).

are we talking plated or coated ?

the copper plated Berry's I have shot and they worked fine

I shoot a glock with coated Acme bullets all the time , it works just fine

you need to bell the mouth of the case just a bit like your loading lead so you don't shave off the coating or plating.
I got most of a box of 500 plated from a co-worker who didn't flair , and made up his mind that they were not worth an extra step.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Thanks Pete I flare most of my loads to prevent much shaving once I check the neck fit.I shoot mostly plated bullets. Use to shoot more cast bullets in years past.

Berrys are very good.

I shot 275 rounds of 230grain plated bullets in my .45acp today.

I am closing in on 4000 for the year no problems.

I also shoot Berrys 115gr 9mm plated. I ran just over 6000 through my Glock with zero problems.

Good utility bullet. I’d rather have a sack full of plated 115 gr than no bullets at all.
