Not hoarding......disaster preparedness. And good trading stock. Anyone who says anything negative is just envious.

Start buying them by the case, not the brick. There is no such thing as hoarding ammo, unless talking to some one that can't find any. I bought three cases of 5250 bricks at once a while back for about 12 a brick shipped. There is 10 bricks to a case, so almost 30 times that. Depending on brand a lot only have 5000 per brick.

when it will spoil before you , your kids or grand kids use it , or you have no use for it then it is hording
5600 isn't that many when you can easily shoot 500 in a Saturday with 2 people doing some practice.
store them well
they sure aren't going to get any cheaper
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

If it helps you decide, I have bought ammo for calibers I didn't even own just because the price was right. I still shoot ammo that is 60-70 years old. It doesn't go bad if stored in a somewhat controlled environment.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I remember the good old days....... 20 years ago.
I would go to town buy a box of ammo and go to the range and have some fun. I never had more than a couple hundred rounds of .22 in the cabinet ever. Now everyone is hoarding it. Who really needs 20,000 rounds of .22? It's best to hoard ammo BEFORE the government says you can't have any

I would go to town buy a box of ammo and go to the range and have some fun. I never had more than a couple hundred rounds of .22 in the cabinet ever. Now everyone is hoarding it. Who really needs 20,000 rounds of .22? 20 ears ago I still had a good ammo supply layed back. Who needs 20k rounds. I guess if you only shoot a few boxes every now and then not you. You also must not have paid any attention in the last 20 years. We can easily run through 500 to 1000 .22 in a day. I have a 500 yard range at home I don't load up and go the the range talk about it like it a big event or make a a day out of it. Have you not watched the prices go up on ammo and availability drop through the floor,? I have .223 ammo that has a 1 99 price tag on the boxs of 20 I got on sale for $1.00 a box. I could have sold it for $20 a box not long ago. No one could find ammo. I have a few friends with with your mindset keep a few boxes of ammo thinks I'm crazy having thousand of rounds with that money tied up in them. Took crap from them for years. Untill one guy ran out and was begging me to sell him some .22lr so he could take his son squirrel hunting. All of a sudden I was not the crazy bullets guy. Buy it cheep and stack it deep. It won't ever go bad, go down in value, it can be sold or traded, it can defend you and feed you. Much more valuable to me than stock certificates. Who needs 20k rounds/ who needs more than one single shot shotgun and one box of 25 rounds/ who needs a semi auto or handguns anyway. Sure sounds like something I have heard before. Yes we even hunt with those AR 15s. Scary right. I know so powerful and dangerous my sons shoot deer with one in 300 blackout when they were 8 and coyotes with one in 5.56. , Some people actually shoot thousand of rounds a year. Not just a few sighting in and going hunting.
