Last year I posted about the lilacs blooming in the fall. I said that I had never seen it before, well I can't say that this year. Anyone else finding them?

No, mine didn’t even bloom that good in the spring this year.

I’d love to have them in the fall too. If you figure out what’s going on let me know! lol

There is a new variety that blooms spring, summer and fall. Noted for disease resistance. I saw it blooming a week ago.

Syringa Bloomerang.

I've seen apple trees bloom in the fall.
Not anything else though.

I have seen several blooming here in Sauk County JD.
All old long established plants. Saw many of them blooming last year at this time also.

Same here.
And, the deer are eating stuff here that they've never eaten before. They are everywhere, thick !
Ate our lilacs, forsythia, baby's breath, bridal wreath, +. iris, peonies, destroyed my sunflowers even after some got8' tall, Deer would climb up with their front feet and ride em down. Ate ALL the leave and the entire head minus the yellow petals.
Only thing they won't seem to touch is the stinkin boxwood hedge. (I don't blame em for that)
Folks here don't hunt like they used to.
There's probably 50 within a mile of here that should go.
I only get about 6 a year.

We have some azalea that are blooming now in September. They also bloomed in April.

Yes- some do that. Some wild black raspberries give berries in the fall. Some other plants do things that way too. There are variations in nature.

Just passin through

Loads of blooming Lilacs all over around here right now. These are all established ones that only bloomed in Soring before the last couple years.

Not a clue why this is happening.
