I have used beaver tail oil straight with no additives for land trapping but wondering if it has any use for water trapping. Does it serve as the same type of attraction for rats/mink as it does coyote?

Im sure it would hold a certain amount of curiosity to them but im also sure there are better attractants for both critters mentioned.
