Where do you guys think we are in terms of a recession? We're in one, it's coming, it's not coming. I should probably start buying some things under the premise that you never really time the bottom. but the fear of more bad economic news keeps me from pulling the trigger. To me, it almost seems like it will take a significant recession to get this inflation to recede. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

I would GUESSTIMATE that we have about a 50% chance of recession. Maybe more. You can parse Powell's words a lot of ways, but to me........he has been clear that if it takes a recession to get control of inflation, he is more than willing to do that......and I believe he will

I like Ford at modern lows. Maybe Dollar General and Phillip Morris.

The markets are off about 20% after today’s close. In the spring of 2020, stocks were off about 33% ( Dow went from 30,000 to 19,000 ). But 2008-2009 makes todays declines look small, the S&P was off 56.5%. I’m still sleeping good at night.

3M is getting sued, they won't go broke but it could cost them a lot of money.

I like 3M, good dividend payer, I'm just getting ready to dip my toes back in the investing world,.....used to have a little account when it was scottrade, 15 years ago ish, kids had some medical bills that wiped out that account, had 3M back then and liked it....I think it will be ok, but wow they getting hammered
