SundanceMtnMan OP trapper S Joined: Feb 2017 Posts: 2,221 Priest River, Idaho USA	I have coyotes killing chickens. I would love to trap them but this time of year I have a robust bear population. Is there some bait or someway to trap coyotes without catching bear. I have no interest in trying to remove a trap from a live bear. "They Say Nothing is Impossible, But, I Do Nothing Every Day."

bearcat2 trapper B Joined: Oct 2011 Posts: 2,469 Idaho	Run a light trap that is just enough to hold a coyote with a longer chain and staked solid in the hopes that any bear you catch will pull out. Is about all I can suggest, bears are curious and I don't know of anything that will attract a coyote that doesn't have a possibility of attracting bears.
