Doctors and the health care system are pretty much headed for the toilet if they arent already there. Takes months to get in to see a specialist of any kind, once another doctor is "kind enough" to refer you. My wife changed pediatrician for the youngest 2 a couple of months ago, because the pediatrician she had used for them for 15 plus years deemed it her business to berate my wife every time she came in that that the kids had not had a flu, covid or HPV shot. Yes they are vaccinated against all other diseases that children are typically vaccinated for. The final straw was when my wife refused the HPV shot for our 11 year old son and the doc told him that his mother had decided that getting cancer in his penis was less harmful than a silly shot.

This gentleman is the latest guest on Joe Rogan. If you listen to the JRE regularly than you know Joe is into non-mainstream methods of healthcare. His latest guest was a drug rep and pharmacy owner who talks about where all the bodies are buried in healthcare. It’s an eye-opening listen. https://open.spotify.com/episode/30NOm1ioG5mpmoQCNEjNgF?si=eHrs6IaNRwOh0HZNRkGjJg

Our Dr. Is hard to get into. Call for an appointment and it will be a week or two. Need in quicker go to the walk in clinic. Guess I don't need a family doctor I can't get into. But the walk in clinic Dr.s always screw things up.
Last time my wife went in they sent her home with meds that react with her blood pressure meds. She even aske them to be sure there would be no reactions before she left the office. After she had reactions and looked it up finding out for herself the walk in clinic Dr tried to change her blood pressure meds to one that won't react to his treatment. Ya, not going to happen buddy her meds work well your not changing them.
Total incompetent. That's just one of many examples of such issues over the last year or so. Thats been my experience also -- didn't bother my doc with the broken wrist last year ( didn't need any more money going nowhere) -- always check the urgent cares thast are local to see what they can and cannot do--- some are better than others. Maybe I need to check the urgent cares for blood pressure meds (not likely) . AG -- when the gal on the phone told me my appt was Jan 4 -- I had to ask "do I even have a doctor anymore" -- I did listen to the reply --- " well he's kinda busy right now -- hes got alot of PAID TIME OFF - and training right now". I have no problem with the pto - unless its golf time-- I understand - life happens. just let me know -family issues, health issues -- no issue to me. golf time -- I have an issue. Bryce -- I wish you the best of luck -- it is not the same healthcare system it was even 10 years ago. NEY-- I know about that crap because of my daughter going to oregon state -- "you gotta have the HPV - and later -- You gotta have the covid" our system is broken -- no fix in sight. With my broken wrist- I had to do the math -- with ins. 25k +/- -- without ins. 25k +/-. The only difference was that I paid ins for about 4 months at about 300 per month before they dropped the subsidized portion and i couldn't pay the 800 per month premium at that time.

Last time I call my Doctors office about 2 months ago they gavee an appt in two days. I got a referral from her to a vascular specialist called and was in his office within a week. Ask your family and friends that live locally and find out how they're doing with making appts and get a new Dr. Those appt times are not acceptable

We do realize that becoming a physician requires time, talent, money and full commitment, right? If fact, a boatload of all these. So when a generation doesn't raise up the next generation to give their time, use their talent, know how to earn a buck, and give their commitment to our society... where did we think docs would arise from?
The generation who didn't expect much from their kids, told 'em to just go off and "be happy" is now growing old and not getting much happy from those they raised up. Did we think we wouldn't reap what society was sowing? And here we are.
Still telling kiddos to "don't worry, be happy."
We're drifting on the sea in the boat that was designed by the baby boomers y'all. Why blame them when them was taught by us? For what it's worth.
Blessings! Mark
