About an hour apart last night in almost the same spot.

#1 right at dark and my dog started barking with that " I have something " bark. When I got to it there was a tarantula and it was moving real slow when I put my light on it and then this big wasp flew down and zapped that spider and flew off. The spider died almost immediately and then the wasp came back, landed on the spider and started eating on it. That is the first wasp I have ever seen like that, so looked it up and found it is a Tarantula Hawk Wasp. Supposed to be found in the desert southwest.

#2 was about an hour later in the same spot and Roscoe sounded off again. This one I am used to and that rascal was mad and striking at everything that moved. I was afraid he was going to hit the dog and it almost got me. It was striking so hard that it looked like he was jumping. Anyhoo, don't have to worry about him anymore. I am going to have to change feeding time for my horses so I can finish up before it gets dark.

Sit on your horse on top of a ridge, look out across the country and tell me there is no God.

This is rough country out here. Everything here will bite you, scratch you, or screw you.

This guy tried claiming the driveway which didn't work out all that well for him.

I remember as a kid watching wild Wild West with will smith in it. In the movie a wasp kills a tarantula and he says that the wasp kills the spider and lays its eggs in it so when they hatch they have food to eat. Not sure if that’s real or not though, always stuck with me though

I sure do believe you do. Does that one have yellow/orange wings ?
Do you see many of them or rarely ?
I thought I had seem all the animals and bugs we have down here but I just added another to the list.
I am also seeing invasive noxious weeds that are showing up across my land that never had before.

It may be the Chinese !!!!!!
