The things that caught my eye, and I am not a carpenter by any means, was the missing what I call jack studs and the wide spacing. Starting to think my mother in law is right, she says she thinks my house was a high school wood shop project in the mid to late 70s.

I’ll add the insulation is installed wrong as well.

That would have failed on several issues around here! Building inspector would have had a hayday with it!

If the color on the wire shielding is white then it is 14 gauge. Our inspectors down here on the coast would have just turned around and walked out. Ok so wrong size wire, spacing incorrect, header inadequate and missing cripples, if I'm looking at the photo correctly there is no cap plate on that outside wall, insulation is wrong, down here it's missing hurricane straps, I'd like to see how the sheet rocker is going to deal with the way the window is installed, he's gonna have issues with the stud spacing as well, on second thought I thing there is a cap plate but I'm wondering whats going on with the ceiling joist to get the sheet rock that low or it could be just loose hanging down. It actually looks like a mobile home re do.

I was hired to put egress windows in a 4 plex in Wasilla many years ago. There wasn’t 1 stud that I found when I opened the walls up. The studs were scabbed together short pieces of 2X4’s. The builder had I think it was over 30 buildings he had built and every time a big wind would come up a roof or 2 would let go. As I remember he finally was ran out of town!

Starting to think my mother in law is right, she says she thinks my house was a high school wood shop project in the mid to late 70s.probably would have been better built if it had been our building construction instructor in HS wouldn't let anything out the door that wasn't right you might see where it got pulled and re-nailed or an oddly cut piece of sheathing but lack of support or nails wasn't going to get out the door they taught building construction making garden sheds
