fighting my poor eyesight.

I made an appt for next Friday to go to.the eye doc.

I've been having alot more problems with my vision. over the last 6 months and it's gone
on long enough.

There's no reason to keep fighting it and my arms just ain't long enough anymore..lol

I can't keep blaming spellcheck..especially when I can spell..

I just can't see the keyboard.

Otll.make my posts easier to read too..no more decoder ring necessary. grin

Go for it. Had catarac surgery in April and can't get over how much difference it made. No more reading glasses and can see in low light conditions again

Mine hit at about the 45 year mark. A buddy asked me to read of the serial number of a router I had just installed in a rack and I leaned around and everything was blurry. I stepped back rubbed my eyes and leaned back around and couldn’t read those small numbers to save my life. Couldn’t lean back enough without hitting the wall either, lol. Went and got reading glasses and broke them in less than a week.
Ended up at our local feed store and they had the magnetic come apart glasses in various lenses. Ole boy let me behind the counter and I found the ones that worked and been wearing them ever since. Before that is have to take a pic with my phone, then enlarge it to read anything!!

If I need to read things much I wear my sports glasses that have a band around my head instead of arm around the ears...just raise them up onto my forehead. I wear contacts most of the time. Hang in there cathryn

I had Lasik surgery done about 12 years ago when I could not see the letters on my keyboard. Also it was a strange feeling riding a motorbike with bifocals when the wind starts to buffet the helmet, things got big and small in quick succession. Made for some interesting situations.

Taking care of your eyes has always been a prime directive for me. Like a dentist.

No reason to not go and keep on top of any oncoming trouble.

I too had Lasik years ago. Still holding. The best thing I've done for my eyes yet.

My eye doc is great. He loves guns and the time in his office goes fast . Also, he and the staff are almost family, if anything should happen, he wants me to call at anytime of day or night.

Depending on your sight for everything, also making a living, having them checked up every year is a small price to pay.

I make an annual visit to my eye doctor, have been doing this many years. Sight is precious and you can have things going on that you are unaware of that can have permanent impact on your vision. No reason not to get your eyes checked at least once a year. That gives you a history to compare to if something does start to change.

My arms got too short in my mid to late 40s. Reading glasses for a while but aggravating. Finally went progressive bifocals with transition lenses and wore them all waking hours. Cataracts formed slowly and monitored by the annual check ups. Pulled the plug to get them fixed while covid had a lot of what I enjoy shut down. One eye then the other 2 weeks later. The difference was amazing. No longer wearing glasses but do need some magnification on fine print in low light occasionally.

Still get my eyes checked every year.

I don’t need reading glasses since my cataract surgery about five years ago. I got Toric lens.

I had Lasik done. 18 years ago. They said If my parents needed readers...I would too.

So I use 1.5 dollar store cheaters.

I've had 18 years Shooting without Glasses.

I can't use readers. I've tried.

They give ma a headache..no matter the strength.

That's why I'm biting the bullet and going to the eye doc.

I had Lasik surgery about 20 years ago. I need cheaters to read, but have great long distance vision, 20/20 in both eyes. It doesn't bother me in the least to wear cheaters to read.
