This may sound weird , but it works.
To clear a flooded chainsaw , hold the throttle wide open (full throttle - no choke ) and pull until it starts.

when I needed to clear a flooded chain saw I pulled the plug and with the choke off pulled it over several times then pop the plug back in and give it a good pull
with the new saws and compression relief might accomplish the same thing by turning off the choke , opening the compression release and pulling it over several times slow , with no compression easy to pull over and move air through the saw
most everything else has fuel shut off so turning off the fuel and clearing it

If it's really flooded pull the spark plug and use a propane torch to clear the cylinder. Really?!?! To anyone who may consider this, just don’t.

I have had a really flooded snow machine (tillotson carb) and way too far to walk and very cold. Pulled plug dipped a stick in tank lit the stick and with plug out put the flame over the plug hole, pulled over slowly and cleared the gas heated the plug and on my way.
I carried a propane torch for years as a security fix. One day I left it outside overnight at home and it was below -30f. It wouldn’t work. Butane torch carried in parka works!

Anybody got any good tricks to get them back operational quick?
One I know and be advised it is dangerous (I use it on old snowmobiles) take the plugs out leave them on the wire and just set them in the holes give it a hard pull and it sounds like a bomb went off most times. I'm not saying this is the best for your engine just if you happen to get stuck out in the cold and don't have time to let everything evaporate That's my trick too. Lay the plug at the hole and give a couple pull. When the fire stops shooting out, she's ready to start.
