Anyone follow it? It hasn't been this high since early 2002. The lowest its been recently was back during our last little micro fur boom(10+ dollar rats). Strong dollar(not for a good reason at this time) typically hasnt been good for fur markets, current geopolitical and economic considerations notwithstanding.

We export a lot of goods be they ag commodities, manufactured goods, weapons, oil etc. so yes a very high dollar hurts exports. We are seeing a drop off in ag commodity exports due to world economies slowing but also high dollar. Actually for US citizens the cuting of usage is helping keeping some costs lower than they could be with smaller carryivers and crops, especially corn. We have seen USDA crop reports lowering corn for 2022 for a couple months now and prices are not rising much. Russia has a new record wheat yield but they may be political about selling their wheat when oil and natural gas are making money.
