I have 3 Reddick mole traps.
#1 is stamped W A REDDICK RIVERSIDE WORKS NILES MICH U S A Patented Aug 2, 1894 with a figure of a mole trade mark made before the fire in 1914 according to Gerstall’s book.
#2 is identical to #1 but stamped THE REDDICK TRAP MICH WIRE WORKS CO NILES MICH U S A with trade mark figure putting it after the 1914 fire & before the 1964 move to Rockford IL.
#3 looks to be a heavier built Reddick with a thick aluminum frame but no stamping. Could #3 be the “LITTLE GIANT” Gerstall mentioned?

I do know they made a shorter version similar to the Victors.

I thought the Reddicks were 25” Victors until I bought #1 a few weeks ago at a yard sale & noticed the stamping. Little research got me curious about #3. I’ve been picking up old traps for years but until I came across a 91 OC and viewed photos from a friend’s visit to Ralph Dorrah’s Museum in Buel, AL got me interested in collecting. Before I thought there were only two brands of traps, Victor & B&L. (Babe in the woods)
