I forgot I had a quart of Tarsal glands tinctured and opened it last night smells pretty good to me real musky, but a slight alcohol smell not sure if that will go away if left open for a bit,

Would you add Tonquin to this or use as is or perhaps some urine any suggestions appreciated?

First I'll say my experience with making deer lures is very limited but I've had success using it straight and also mixed with urine and a couple of other ingredients. Never tried it with tonquin.
It has uses for other species also

I have tinkered tarsals in Everclear for my deer scents formulations for over 30 years. I have some tink that is ten years old and, in my opinion, works better. I use it in my deer scent formulations, so the alcohol smell is not a factor, but if you are using it as is, the alcohol smell will dissipate quickly when applied to your scent holder or soil, rotten log, or whatever you are using. I would, however, add a base of some sort to hold the oils from the tarsal together, as when the alcohol evaps, your mother ingredient may not be as strong as you think. By adding the amount of tink to your base you desire, the alcohol will help your base absorb the tink oils, and you will have the same product after the alcohol evaporation happens. My mock scrap #4 and Buck tarsal plus are formulated with aged tinctured tarsal glands. There are many trapping oils that attract deer and are used, so if you do your research, you can use them.
