jht trapper J Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 182 Flint Hills, KS	It's pretty difficult to do grass ID with photos alone, and there are a lot of grasses with with flower structures that look like the one you posted. I don't think it's giant foxtail. Millet is a better guess, but it's just too hard to see the necessary features to be sure. Could be several things within Setaria, Cenchrus, Pennisetum, or other related genera. I will say that most species in those groups have fine forage value AND are exotic weeds.

Line Jumper trapper L Joined: Dec 2012 Posts: 871 Northern WI	It didn’t look like the proso millet they planted in SD, so I looked it up and there are apparently a lot of different looking millets, it does look like foxtail (pigeon grass) but there are a lot of fox tails also. In other words I have no clue what it is.
