Monday I’m scheduled to have steroid injections in my neck to try to reduce the pain from the stenosis and ruptured, bulge discs. I’ve never done this before,, but hear it’s a 50/50 thing, A series of 3 injections is what I’m told. I’m thankful for the prayers from my trapperman family and that god has found favor with me to allow me to finnally get some medical progress started.

my wife went with a bad neck for years , tell she couldn't handle the pain anymore, like 30 years, we went to a doctor in green bay wis. they did test shots to kill nerve , really a nerve block , she was better before we got to the truck , after 3 test shot, they went in and did a injection that could last up to 5 years , she has been great now for two years ,i hope you get some relieve

Stay positive
Even if you get partial relief or relief for a short time on the first one that is a good sign.
Sometimes the nerves are so inflamed it takes all 3 shots to calm things down.

Be sure and let your doc know what kind of relief/how long etc (you should be sent home with a pain diary)
Even if little or no relief there are sometimes different types of injections

Sounds like you are getting a transforaminal epidural steroid injection series

I took the advice from a few individuals and got a second opinion,, the new doctor thought that surgery was way too hasty l,,, he said that we should try the injections first,,, so hopefully it does give relief,, even if it is short term,,,, tired of hurting and pain in my shoulder blade all the time.
