I bought 15 axes, 2 hatchets and a feed mill at auction today.

I got Ames, Futon, Keen Kutter, Kelly, Norlund, Stanley (the tiger maple handlehandledand unknown manufacturer axes, a Plumb and unknown hatchet and a Wilson feed mill.

I didn't get the "Genuine Norlums" hatchet I posted about earlier in the week. It sold surprisingly high.

There was 3 mixed lots of traps in the auction. They were in decent shape. They sold for very cheap, around 30 cents a trap. I was tempted, but there was nothing rare and I have more traps than I will likely ever set again.

Did any of the rest of you make any interesting buys this weekend?

Keith

Pretty cool stuff Keith.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

That double bit is beautiful, I'd like to have that. I have a nice little collection of Snow and Nealley axes.

That mill looks nice, hows it look on the inside?

Thanks guys.

The mill looks like it has hardly been used. The burs seem good and it turns well. I'm going to run some corn through it tomorrow.

It's a Keen Kutter. It has a label that says "ghost bevel" on it, but I believe it's usually referred to as a "phantom bevel".

I paid $265.41 for the 15 axes, which is an average of $17.69 each.

Very nice, I wouldn't have been as restrictive on the traps and they would have been coming home with me. Good for you for resisting the urge.
