what we have is a situation similar to a married couple when one person is wanting a divorce and the other person is wanting to make what they have work. The one that wants the divorce will do all kind of unscrupulous things to get 'evidence' on the other party meanwhile they are stacking everything they can in their favor....for when they drop the axe.

Only in this instance the 'media' helps with the branding....far right extremists, election deniers, maga deplorable's...etc. So when the time comes as much public opinion as possible is on their side.
