It looks like us humans have been gathering, feasting, and giving thanks to our creator for a long long time!

Happy Thanksgiving all!

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Our heritage speaks of the first Thanksgiving being in 1621 when the Pilgrims and the Indians celebrated a feast of the harvest. My Pilgrim ancestors, Edward and Ann Fuller were my 10th great grandparents. They didn't live to celebrate Thanksgiving, as they died January/February 1621. Their son, Samuel Fuller, my 9th grandfather, was there.

The 1621 version was initiated by the English, there were several other harvest celebrations between Indians and whites, French and Spanish, that predated the official date by nearly 100 years. But since the English wrote the history……………….well, you know the rest.
