The protests may cause some changes but they won't come fast or easy. There are several reasons why the Chinese leadership is choosing the COVID policy they are using, one is control, one is very low vaccination rates, very low efficacy of the vaccines in use and very limited ICU capacity for sick and very ill patients. The economy is growing about 50% slower this year then projected so there is less interest in fur as with other commodities. Like it or not China is the manufacturing center for much of the world and COVID, protests and slowing economic growth could mean some supply issues worldwide.

Nothing will come of these protest except many people disappearing and a serge in housing starts , building more concentration camps. All the time China Joe and other politicians will remain silent on this issue. They do not want to do anything to disrupt their monthly stipends from China and the cartels.
