And yes it’s a game changer. You can’t win a tournament anymore without one.

I've fished with this unit for a couple of years. It's the difference between catching fish, or not, most days. If I was a guide, it would be necessary equipment. It's killer for suspended fish like crappies and other panfish. Not so much good for shallow water or bottom hugging fish, but will locate baitfish. You can drill a hole, search everything within 100', 365 degrees around you, see the fish and drill holes over them and commence to catching them, then follow the school. It's pretty crazy.

I prefer to set up on structure in proven locations and wait them out. Then again, the list of women that claim I am as stubborn as a Missouri mule is rather long too.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I will look around, but I suspect you are being truthful. Wait, you have a list? grin

Hopefully next year its a Live Scope. Let us know what you think when you get it up and running.

This is pretty much my method- including stubbornness. I've used them on deep water perch when schools can move quickly.

Most on here see the fish I catch.

I don't use one, nor do I feel the need. I kind of feel its like cheating in some cases. While they aren't the holy grail, they do assist in some cases.

While I may get one eventually for late fall musky fishing when they are spread out all over the place, I still think that there needs to be some kind of mystery, or wonder to fishing, and I worry about this removing a part of fishing that I like. When you get it for open water you run the risk of spending all day just driving around and scanning, instead of fishing and using the knowledge you've built up over years and years.

Like I said, for me, I may get one for Musky fishing this time of year, but I doubt I will bring it out most other times.

I think it would change how I fish to a point where I just stare at the screen all day...and who wants to do that? I already watch my regular graph too much when Ice fishing, I don't want to do it open water fishing as well.

its sort of like, anyone can do well with it...I think doing well without it is more rewarding.

My opinion may change

I am cheap and will stick with my Marcum Flasher. I know live scope works but I usually am just fishing for enough for a family fish fry and the Marcum has served me well.
