I have obtained five pounds of ground lean lamb meat. This is from a market that has been packaged for sale but out of date for the shelf life. Has any of you tried working with a lamb or sheep canine bait?

Have never tried it but I've heard it's not as attractive as say horse, deer or beaver meat. For what ever that's worth.

I used a bait this past summer, that according to the description was lamb based. I did catch a few with it. I plan on ordering some more.

I read an article, some years back about coyotes that were caged and used for biology studies. If I remember correctly, these coyotes were fed various meat types, several types of animal flesh were pitched in the cage at the same. The coyote usually would eat the tainted sheep meat first before consuming the other types that was in the cage.

I have tested beef and it will surprise you how mild of a reaction you will get towards it. And this is in country that if u want to catch numbers of coyotes u best be close too cows.
Eating it and being a good bait base are too different things.
