Try a raptor or mammal rehabilitation place. I have one near me and they take carcasses on occasion I don't charge them but it's a way to make sure they are used and it's good press if they mention it in conversation.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

One can make MTO (muskrat tail oil) with the tails. Some say it is as good or better than BTO !!  w

We bake the muskrat with the tail on, excellant eating!!! I've eaten a lot of muskrat but not the tail. I tried beaver tail once not that great.

I've eaten a lot of muskrat but not the tail. I tried beaver tail once not that great. I think muskrat tastes a lot like early season puddle ducks, just different shaped pieces. If the beef only people up here really got hungry and lived by a slough in a non-drought year when there were mrats around, they'd learn to eat them. Isn't a person supposed to make soup out of the beaver tail? I tried frying one in college. Poor choice of cooking. It was like eating a greasy rubber biscuit. I think it ended up hanging out in our day room for a while until someone finally threw it away.

I sell my furs and bodies to him. I believe I get $2.50 a body. Not sure how far he is form you. but if you have a lot, it may be worth it. Sometimes He will buy beaver and some coons as well. Call and see what he needs.
