Are you just using the cow rib to blend or are you sifting some over the pattern too? Anyhow, it's a nice, blended set. Silky. I am using = Cows rib. To press down the = little rocks. And break up the dirt clod pebbles. Then I = duff with wisk broom or hand

May have asked before, but why bury the drag? Thought the whole purpose of the drag was not to have to dig. If I can dig I’ll put in an earth anchor. OK Wannabe. Land manager ask or told us = Family wants to see 0 coyotes bouncing on roads ! So everything is drags. I have Blue Lacey dog with me now. So no worries on = finding the animal quickly. Plus. Last trapper. Was well know. He basically retired. I will say this = HE DID A GREAT job clean up coyotes!!!! So time ? Its not a factor so why not bury???? The = Hook to the tree or bush ? Well thats not for me . Educated coyotes. So we ONLY make clean Flat Sets. And drags ? Long term ? Once you get over = price shock of new? The they will last forever. Its like a = investment. No more cable stakes or bullet stakes. Just bury them drags and 8 or 10 ft chain!!! LoL!

Mad Mike. I know a very good. Well known. Trapoer that uses a = 20 volt battery operated leaf blower! He says. It works great. I just use. Dollar General broom. Cut down. Short I overthink things, at times, but tend to slash and cut down to much simpler. Nice looking country. I like the hills and the greenery.

Dog's know there business Doing deprivation work. Not fur. No restrictions No license needed. Not keeping fur EVER. I just do deprivation work. Kill whatever is needed for ranchers. Texas is year round on cats. LOTS of = Predator Calling Contests in West Texas ! VERY few bobcats left here

Getting a flat STINKS!!! Hopefully it wasn't to bad to change!!! Nice job on the Hog, taking the air out of them is a lot funner than taking air out of your tires!! Yep. Other tire flat. Now. Just got to keep plugging them. Have tires ordered.

Ha! I've done that a few times when setting traps in open ground without much for them to hang up on, added an extra length of chain to give them 20+ feet. Hope it works well. Tired of chasing stuff around.

You need to attach one of those verticle pipes on the corner of your bumper like the ranchers do. Be cheaper to just = get out and open gate. Only have 2 bump gates on 25000 acres. LoL ! This place. Runs really fast. Bout 4 dz snares its been trapped year round for years. Trapper on next property snares coyotes too! Its pretty clean. Maybe 5 gates total to open. And O doubling back. Can run in 4 hrs if I get after it

The area I trapped there were so many I made a bush bar to open them. I can see where. A bump gate would be handy. Most of the ranch trucks. Are full sized and have a few dents. One was kicked by cow the otherday ! LoL!

Bob. Its about time we start = Denning coyotes. And we will be = calling the male out with predator calls and killing him first. Plus. We will soon start = getting up at 300 am Going out and howling. To locate family groups. Its big country. Time to change = Strategy. Will be = checking more water holes and canyons. Oh no...! Kill the female first!! Then wait for the males return.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

So let me understand this Deer hunters laid claim to your t-posts? Locked you (employee) out of a gate?
If I was land owner they would be coming to get their crap and I would be leasing to new bunch with better sense. People are lined up to pay ridiculous money for a deer lease these days, no need to deal with a bunch of idiots They are just city folks. Towneys. They NOW understand. How it will be. They have a whole pile of T post brought in. Feed me a ribeye last nite. We talked. I was = asured = no more problems. Has all 3 gate combos now. My guess. Landowner schooled them on whats what

I prefer to = kill male first. He is easy. Use dog near den. Make him come to you or dogs kill him. Then kill the = Baby sitter. Then that FORCE’s the bread female to come out and kill her. Or, turns her into an absolute ghost and forces her to an easy food source because you removed her grocery getters. I’m sorry, but this goes against ALL denning common procedure.

Boone you may be correct. I will not lie. THIS will be my first experience with denning. I have NEVER got to do it in Alabama But kill male first. Then babysitter. Then female with pups. Was best order I was told. IF you kill HER first. What stops = the Baby Sitter from taking pups and moving ?

Early dennings a tough time of the year. Not a single coyote made a noise today either. Calm till bout 9 am. Now ? Windy as all get out. Set 4 traps. Very little sign here

Don't complain; A)they aren't your sheep B)its a lot more fun to catch something than it is to check empty traps. Bearcat2. I dont like too lose ! LoL! We think. He maybe trying to teach his son a lesson ? We had a good place they COULD have went. Point is = my partner and I now. Have to work = harder than we should have too ! Lots of other things for me to do ! LoL ! I can stay here wherw im at. And my partner is in the BAD sheep country now. Will swap latter Just playing the devils advocate but maybe he moved them there to take advantage of the available forage. His job is to turn as much forage into meat as he can and your job is to keep the sheep safe from coyotes. He hired you so he can do his job better. Besides you pride yourself on your hard work. If there's grazing available a rancher or sheep guy wants to use it.

Its will happen sooner or latter. One of my past employers A rancher from New Mexico/Texas line. Is getting me a lasso ready. I need to work on = being able to = lasso aniamals ! I had to release a calf the other day. IF it had been bigger?? I would have been in trouble. SO i need to learn to rope alittle bit.
