James "Minka" J Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 17,379 Coeur d' Alene, Idaho	The Brownings I've handled were light rifles. Maybe that's why the recoil bothers some. The rifles didn't strike me as having stock designs that would increase recoil. I'd never put a muzzle brake on a perfectly good rifle and ruin it. Recoil doesn't bother me--up to my .416 Rem Mag anyway. But a blast in the face and ears from a brake sure does!
