Ice out here is when Herbie sinks.(herbie is an old yellow beetle that gets towed out on the lake every spring). You Canadians got to pull a car out on the lake and sink it to figure out the ice is too thin?

After all the nice warm weather we have had over the past couple of months, I see reality in the forecast. 3-6" of snow Thursday and another 12-18" possible next week. Weeehoooo! The nice part is that it won't last. Maybe a few days but the sun is just too high in the sky for it to last long. Actually the nice part is I can have 6-7 brush fires that can be viewed from Space ! I believe 3” constitutes snow cover.

I think it is 4 inches of snow but honestly don't remember. I am skipping burning my brush piles this year. The risk of rekindle just isn't worth it.
I have nothing clever to put here.
