![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/07/full-47527-223240-1000000686.jpg) Cameron was bored so he walked up to the neighbors pond, while it was raining. Took his tackle box and his light weight pole that he trout fishes with. Well it was an hour or so I decided to go check in on him, found him on the porch showing the neighbor.. he said took him 20 minutes to land in. Caught it on a rubber crawdad. First catfish he had ever caught. Snapped a picture and threw it back. Bog one!

Nice looking Flathead! Flatheads don't breed till they get about that size, so good job releasing it back.

Nice! Because he is young enough he may not have much experience with fish stories, make sure to tell him that fish is supposed to get bigger with each telling of the story! and he needs to learn the "patented jbyrd outstretched arms towards the camera" pose! nice fish, btw!

nice fish, btw! Anything that is in a picture with him looks big. Doesn't matter how he holds it. Lol

That is fantastic! You mean kids ACTUALLY still go out and do things for real, not just on the computer?
I have nothing clever to put here.

Cameron, congrats on your CPR. Catch, photo, release. You have a great chance of catching it again. Hopefully much bigger and twice the thrill. Keep at it young man. Keep us posted with your catches.
