How many trips to the hardware store did I involve. wink I usually average 3. My house is a hundred and twenty years old and sometimes you have to chase the fittings down and convert them from a hundred years old antiquated system crazy

Sometimes it's just easier to take off the top, install everything, and put it back on.

They all are. Depends on the glue and how much was put down.
When i install, i only use a few dabs of silicone(i've installed literally hundreds). I know some guys put a bead of construction adhesive on the whole thing!! Only way to get them off is to cut them.
