air conditioning is one of the few things I take some place.

with the deer hit Saturday I could hear the 134A hissing out of the condenser when I shut the engine off.
there is a puncture in the condenser

I see the connections they look to have a revers toques type fastener

should I be removing the condenser and pugging the lines some how , I could probably cut them right at the condenser and flatten them with some sealant in the tubing.

I don't want to do any damage to the rest of the system being open for a while , as I get parts and this fixed up again.

I have a AC vacuum pump so I can draw a vacuum and make sure I am holding before trying to fill it , I might take that over to the local shop I used for AC and new tires

just sort of a how do I best prep it to set a while as I get the rest of it fixed up?

It's not good for the system to get moisture in it, so it'd be best to just plug the lines off somehow. It doesn't really need to be a perfect seal, just make sure there's no gaping holes.

with an attitude like that how will you ever make 500K miles

it has a good running 4.8 and good working Trans , the interior is in good shape
yes it is dirty , and yes the paint on the hood was starting to peel

it drives very nice , even with it bashed in , smooth riding, running well sitting on 4 almost new tires.

has a heater that will cook you our and an AC that would freeze you out

the entire bed is a tool box that slides out , windows on the topper open all the way around

just a really handy little truck

It will depend what it is going to cost me to fix it up if I can find a lot of the parts I need at the local pick your own scrap yard and out a new condenser in it those look to be around 75 dollars

if I bring the guys at the scrap yard a 30 rack they might even move the front end of an 99-07 gm/chevy up close to the building so I can take it apart and not have to carry parts from the back of the yard.
besides I think they have better pricing when they have a beer in hand. everything is of course cash

You just need to worry about keeping dirt and bugs out of the system. Drawing vacuum on the system will boil all of the water which seeped in.
That's right. Water under vacuum boils at room temperature.

Don’t forget to chance the dryer cartridge or pack as the case may be.
