Starting this morning, I am now getting a screen that says I must sign in to google to view a youtube video. Something about confirming I'm not a bot. Never seen that before.

Is that unique to me or is anyone else getting that too? I've done everything but restart the computer to clear out all history.

Because of all the shared cloud folders we use for work, my browser is logged into a google account all the time. I never get the verification screen you are referencing. Just checked it now, and no issues

Rumble videos open fine but not YouTube from here. I have to go to YouTube and search the same video if I want to watch it

I can do searches.......say a coon duke trapping video.....and they show up.........but when I click to view them with sound, it is asking me to sign in to verify I'm not a bot. It is similar to when they require you to log in to watch age restricted videos, which I never do. I have a google account, but rarely if ever use it.

I suspect this new login is limited to a few people, and not all users. Something they did to force me to sign in......probably so they can track me better. Not something I'm likely to do.

I think they got tired of people viewing without being subscribed so they forced to the non subscribed viewers to log in so they knew how many non subscribers there really were.

i.e. I'm logged in on my phone but not on my TV. When I watch on TV posters are always saying be sure to like and subscribe and how they don't understand how many non subscribers there are. I think alot of the non subscribers are actually subscribers that just weren't logged in. So anyway, I had to log in on my tv for my videos to pop up now too.

Its the same thing for whatever you are trying to view it on probably.

Mine works too.......can view anything.........if I'm logged in. Forcing me to log in is what's new.

There has been some phishing scams going on asking to sign in or confirm you're not a bot. The scammera want your account and login info. Be careful on any new or different confirmations online

We got a notice at work last week about "captcha" scams

Happens to me all the time. I assume it's because I don't have an account and I don't allow cookies. Their algorithms and tracking systems don't like that. I just push the back button and try again, and that usually solves it for whatever reason.

Same here, but I get the screen option to space down to "Exit Youtube" which I do.

Then click on Youtube again and it opens right up without signing in. I do it every day.

Not having the problem here. Is your browser set to clear all caches when it closes? Check your settings.

Do you have any other google accounts? Appears that if you are signed in to any of your google accounts, you get this screen. You would halve to either sign into youtube or go to your main google account and logout of all services
