I just bought a new iPhone 16 because my old 11 finally gave up the ghost. I just tried posting a picture to T-man and when I hit the add file button, the window goes black and stays that way.

I have no problem posting pictures from this phone to other sites. And I still have my 11 and just tried posting pictures to this site from it and that works.

I’ve tried the usual suggested fixes; clearing my browser cache, switching the format of my pics, etc. Nothing has worked.

I’m hoping some of you computer savvy guys can help me out.

Have you tried shutting phone down and restarting.

Try taking a screenshot of your pic and see if that works, file might be too big.

Out of all the sites I’ve ever been on.. tman is absolutely the hardest for me to post a picture on.. I have the same issue with my 10.. I don’t think I have ever got one to post… I don’t even try anymore

Looks like I didn’t. It only worked once. Now I’m back to the black photo box screen again. And no, I can’t scroll around inside of it.

Check and make sure your phone has the newest IOS version. Sometimes they don’t automatically update.

Are you using the full editor to post pics?

I tried using the full editor, not sure how that works. It just takes me to a different screen where it looks like my only option is to use the photo icon.

I just updated to the latest version. As usual, it was just stupid crap, changing icons and just making it a little more difficult to use the phone.

I still get the black screen. I’ll try restarting again.

Restarting again did not work. I’m using my old 11 right now.

Here’s what I get when I select a picture from my photo album. You can see it just shows up as a little black box instead of the thumbnail of the picture.

Everything works fine with my old 11.

The day after I got back from Camp, the battery on my 11 would not take a charge at all. If I shut it down and left it on the charger for like eight hours it would charge up to about 50% . Looking in settings told me I needed a new battery. It was cheaper for me just to buy a 16 because of my customer loyalty discounts. I got it for a little over $100.

I got everything transferred over at the Verizon store, just barely got it done before the battery died. Now that I’ve purchased a new 16, the battery in my old 11 has miraculously recovered. It is taking and holding a full charge.

Apple and Verizon are both the devil!

No, just random pics from my photo albums. When the thumbnail loads as a black box instead of a preview of the selected pic I get the big black box when it loads. And there's no option rotate or no "All Done" button to load it.

It's obviously an issue with my new phone because I can still upload pics like always with my old 11.

I don't think that's the issue k snow. When the file was too big or it was in the wrong format I'd get a message in the picture posting window telling me that ith my old phone. The new one I just get a black box..

try that same pic with the new phone again lug. my wife has a 16, i'll see if it works with it....

When you go to full editor you should have the option at the bottom to attach pic.

Yes, you have to allow access to photos on camera. I don’t remember where that setting is but that could be the problem.

No idea, but her phone does the same black screen thing as yours.

Mine is a 15 and it works.

Her 16 loads that picture too. lol

I just discovered something. The new phone will Post any picture that I had taken with the old 11. But it will not post any picture that I’ve taken with it since I’ve got it. That means it must be a formatting issue.

They all say HEIF on them. I changed the camera settings from high efficiency to most compatible which should make them all JPEG’s but they all still say HEIF.

On which pictures?

I don’t know. My 15 is doing it on some pictures too now. lol

I've had that issue at work with some of our service techs that use iphones. The pics in heif format don't share well at all.

When I use that photo uploader from the full editor it says the pictures I'm trying to upload are over 4MB that get the black screen. Your dog's picture must be smaller than that since it works. Typically pictures that I have that were texted to me will upload since texting them seems to resize them but the newest ones won't load even then.... when you get it figured out let the rest of us know. lol

Usually if you just crop the pic a little then it will be below the 4MB limit and you can post it.

Took a screen shot of an existing pic on my camera roll, seemed to work.

The bottom of the picture screen you will see options. Make your picture smaller.

I found it was all a but photo size so I found a free re-sizing app at the App Store. Works great EXCEPT for the adds. 1536x2048 is the size I choose for on here.

Mine does the go black deal too, not all but the majority of pics.

This is an old post, from back in December.

Thanks to you guys I figured it out back then. I take a screen shot of every pic I want to post here. Then I crop it and can post it. That's the only way I've found to do it other than emailing myself the pics and then saving them back to my camera roll.

Both methods are a PITA but screen-shotting is a little less so.
